Dial Up Networking for Windows 95
DarienTel
Access for Windows 95 uses Dial-Up Networking to connect to DarienTel.
Since the DarienTel installation configures DUN for you, you can normally
skip this section. If you are having problems, or simply must mess with
the settings, this is the procedure. If you mess the settings up, you
can launch the Netscape "Account Setup Wizard" to reset all
of the settings you may have messed up.
Note:
If you are on a local area network (LAN) and install DUN, you may create
a conflict which interrupts your computer's connection to your LAN. Please
ask your network administrator for assistance before installing Dial-Up
Networking. Before you install DUN, you will need your Windows 95 disks
or CDROM.
Installing
Dial Up Networking (DUN)
-
From
your desktop, double-click My Computer. You should see icons for the
drives on your system, Control Panel, and, if it's installed, Dial-Up
Networking. If Dial-Up Networking is installed, skip to Setting
Up Dial-Up Networking.

Control Panel.
-
Double-click
Add/Remove Programs.
-
Click
the Windows Setup tab.

-
When
Add/Remove Programs is finished copying files, you should see the
Control Panel.
Now you should restart your computer:
Click your Start button and click Shutdown.
Select Restart the computer and click Yes.

password for Windows Networking:
For username, enter your DarienTel username.
Leave the password field blank and click OK.
-
The
next window asks you to verify your password. Leave everything blank
and click OK.
Now when you restart Windows95 you will not be asked to enter a username
and password ever again. You will also notice a new icon on your desktop--Network

in Windows95.
