Setting up spam filters with Netscape
These instructions assume that Netscape Messenger has already been installed
and configured to check your e-mail.
Creating Mail Filters with Netscape Messenger
Open Communicator
Open Messanger Mailbox
Click on Edit
Click on Mail Filters
Click New
Type the name of the filter in the Filter Name line
At this point
you must select what you want the filter to do and who you want it to
do it to.
There are numerous options available to you.
Here are some filter profiles that will help keep the amount of junk email
you have to look through to a minimum.
Words in bold are the setting you want to select.
If the sender of the message is (or contains) senders email
address then move to folder Trash
If the sender
of the message contains senders email address then Delete
(Deleting mail doesn't send it to the Trash (Recycle Bin). Deleted mail
is gone for good)
